Luke offers psychological assessment and treatment to individuals over the age of 16.

Individual therapy involves an initial assessment session after which a treatment plan will be discussed and implemented over subsequent sessions. This treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and presenting concerns.

    Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

    CBT involves identifying unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and developing healthier ways in which to think or respond to challenging situations. CBT remains the gold standard therapeutic treatment for symptoms of depression and anxiety.

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

    ACT aims to help clients move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life by clarifying personal values and teaching mindfulness skills that allow us to respond more flexibly to distressing situations, thoughts and emotions.

    Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

    An effective treatment for individuals struggling with intense emotional responses or impulsivity. DBT helps clients analyze why unhelpful behavioural responses occur and introduces specific skills aimed at regulating emotions, maintaining friendships and reducing impulsive or unhelpful behaviours.

    Schema Therapy

    An effective treatment for reversing longer term patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. Schema therapy aims to unpack how experiences from our past shape how we react to situations in the present whilst providing techniques and skills to break unhelpful patterns and strengthen our sense of self-worth.
